How do I order your classroom magazines?
The fast and simple way is to order online. If you would rather order by phone, please call 800-446-3355 (Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 6:00 pm EST). You also may fax your order to us at 856-786-3360.

When is the best time to order my magazine subscription for the school year?
Order by July 14 to ensure that your first issue is waiting for you in September. Simply estimate the number of students you think you’ll have. You may revise your order anytime before October 31, and you’ll pay for only the final number of student subscriptions you need. If ordering after July 14, please allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery of your first issue.

How do I order ScienceSpin?
You can purchase ScienceSpin along with any Weekly Reader K-2 and Weekly Reader News grades 3-6 subscription. ScienceSpin is not available on its own, and must be ordered in the same quantity as your K-6 subscription. ScienceSpin will be found conveniently inserted into each student's Weekly Reader or Weekly Reader News magazine, once each month.

ScienceSpin is not shipped separately. It will be found conveniently inserted into each student's Weekly Reader or Weekly Reader News magazine.

How do I order the Human Sexuality Newsletter?
The Human Sexuality Newsletter cannot be purchased separately. It is only available with Current Health Teens, and must be ordered in the same quantity. The Human Sexuality Newsletter will be shipped conveniently with your issues of Current Health Teens.

How will I know you have received my order?
If you order online, you will receive an immediate email confirmation. If you order through the mail, you will receive an acknowledgement invoice about 2 to 3 weeks later, letting you know that your order has been processed. If you provide your e-mail address with your mailed order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

I am not a teacher. Can your classroom magazines be shipped to my home?
Of course! Simply place your order, and we will be happy to send your subscription to your home. Please note: Weekly Reader can only deliver to customers residing in the United States, United States Territories, or on U.S. military bases (APO and FPO addresses).

Can I place an order now and have my school or district send a Purchase Order later?
Yes, you can. You will be responsible for payment until a Purchase Order is received that clearly references your account. Purchase Orders can be faxed to 856-786-3360 or mailed to: Weekly Reader Publishing, 3001 Cindel Drive, Delran, NJ 08075.

How will my order be shipped?
All classroom magazines are shipped 2nd class mail.

Do you offer any other shipping options besides 2nd class?
At this time, the Weekly Reader Store does not offer any other shipping methods.

What are the shipping costs?
A 10% shipping and handling charge will be added to the unit cost per student. Sales tax will not be added to magazine orders.

Can my order be shipped to a P.O. Box?
Yes.

Can I place an order for delivery outside the United States?
The Weekly Reader Store can only deliver to customers residing in the United States, United States Territories, or on U.S. military bases (APO and FPO addresses).

When should I expect delivery of each magazine issue?
Generally, issues arrive 3 to 5 days before the actual issue date. If ordering after July 14, please allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery of your first issue.

What if I have missed an issue?
Please call Customer Service at 800-446-3355 to request the missed issue. Expect delivery in a minimum of 4 weeks.

If I adjust my quantity of subscriptions, how long will it take for those changes to take effect?
You have until October 31 to make changes to your order. It typically takes 3 to 4 weeks for quantity revisions or address changes to take effect.

How do I cancel my classroom magazine order?
Call Customer Service immediately at 800-446-3355 or e-mail customerservice@weeklyreader.com. Provide your account number, name, and full shipping address. If canceling after October 31, you will be charged for all issues already mailed.

Why are the Big Issues a different size this year?
We understand that school budgets are tight and every dollar counts. It is important to us that the Big Issues remain free with Pre-K-1 subscriptions, and the most effective way to do this was to resize the issues.

What guarantee is offered on Weekly Reader classroom magazines?
If you are not fully satisfied, simply let us know by October 31 and we will promptly refund your payment. To cancel, call 800-446-3355 or email customerservice@weeklyreader.com and provide your account number, name, and full shipping address. Additionally, if you need to revise your order, you may do so until October 31—and you’ll pay only for your final, revised number of subscriptions.

As always, Weekly Reader aims to serve our teachers better. This is our next generation Teacher’s Guide, where we will offer more online resources to improve the teaching experience with Weekly Reader magazines. By offering online Teacher’s Guides, Weekly Reader can maintain low pricing while also providing a variety of formats that serve teachers’ unique needs. Of course, for those teachers who prefer a printed Teacher’s Guide, there is an easy way to simply print out the pages when needed. This is an improved, more printer-friendly version.

How do I request a catalog of Weekly Reader products?
As part of our initiative to be eco-friendly, we no longer print a catalog. Please visit our classroom magazine online store or curriculum products online store to read more about our products and place your order. How do I order Weekly Reader Student Practice Books?

How do I find a specific brand or product on your website?
If you have a product code, you can enter it into the search field of any page within the Weekly Reader online store. You may also use the side navigation to browse products by grade and subject matter. If you know the item you wish to purchase, you can enter the title, item number, ISBN, or author in the "Search" field on the homepage. A search broken down by skills category, subject category, brand name, age group, keyword, or any combination of the above can be performed on any page of the Weekly Reader Store in the grey, left menu area. If you have any product-related questions, please contact Customer Service at customerservice@weeklyreader.com or call 800-446-3355 to speak to a Customer Service representative.

Can I order Student Practice Books for September delivery?
Normally, Student Practice Book orders are shipped upon receipt of your order, taking 7 to 10 business days for delivery. If your school is closed over the summer, simply let us know at the time of ordering, and we will hold delivery until early August. The books will reach you in time for the opening of school.

What does "Teacher Checkout" mean when I am ordering online?
"Teacher Checkout" provides the option to bill your school for the products you have ordered. This is referred to as the "Bill Me" option within the online store. Any teacher can choose this option as long as the products being ordered are shipped and billed to a school address, not a home address. Once you have placed your order, you must send a fax with a copy of your order receipt and a purchase order to 856-786-3360. Please note that you will be responsible for payment until we receive a Purchase Order to the above fax number.

You may print out your order at any time during the checkout process. Please note that clicking the "Print Purchase Order" button will NOT submit your order to us for processing. Why am I being charged tax for items?
Weekly Reader must charge sales tax for orders in states where required by law, unless proof of tax exemption is provided with your order.

What should I do if I am tax exempt, and I'm still being charged tax when I place my order?
If you have tax-exempt status and are submitting your order through our online store, you must fax your tax exemption form to 856-786-3360 immediately following the placement of your order.

What are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs on book orders are calculated based on the total of the order. On orders less than $40.00, add $3.95 for shipping. Orders of $40.00-$250.00, add 10% for shipping. Orders of $250.00 or more, add 8% for shipping.

What is "My Wish List"?
"My Wish List" allows you to save information on products that you are not yet ready to purchase. The information will be saved in your online account and available when you are ready to add those products to your shopping cart.

What is a magic word?
Once you set up your username and password to access the Subscriber-Only Content online, you will see an area to set up a magic word. The magic word will allow your students to view the Digital Editions on their own at home or in a computer lab.

In the On Subscriber-Only Content login page, click “Forgot your username or password.” If you have any problems, you can call us at 800-446-3355 or email us at customerservice@weeklyreader.com and we’ll be happy to help you.

I forgot my password for the online store. Can you send it to me?
Yes. Simply visit our online store sign in page and enter your email address in the "Forgot your password" field. We will email you your password immediately. Please remember that you must enter the email address you used when you ordered or registered for the online store. If you need further assistance, please e-mail us directly at webteam@weeklyreader.com. We will respond to your request within 2 business days.

My e-mail address or other information has changed. How do I update my account?
You can change all of the information that you have given to us in the past by logging into our online store. Once you have logged in, you can change the information that is currently in your online profile.

Why is it safe to save information on the Weekly Reader website?
Any information that you give to us on the weeklyreader.com Web site is stored in a secured server. Weekly Reader uses secure server software over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) line to protect your credit card information. It encrypts all of your personal and credit card information so that this information cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system.

Can I ship my order to an address saved in a personal address book?
You cannot import addresses from an e-mail address book or Web directory. You will need to re-type the address information during the checkout process.

How do I submit a permissions request to Weekly Reader?
All material published by Weekly Reader is protected under copyright law. Any unauthorized use constitutes an infringement. Written permission is required if you wish to reproduce, distribute, transmit or otherwise use Weekly Reader material.
Your permission request must contain details about the material you are requesting usage for (magazine/edition/issue #/date or product/title/page number). As well, we need your name mailing address, email address, phone number and fax number if available.
