Great Poem!
Vernacular + Spectacular? Stupendous rhyme!

I admit, I am very jealous. I wish I had written this for Mr. Parella who taught my 10th grade English class. He’ll never be my friend either, because he also gave me a C- a few times. That's ok, I proved him wrong by getting a Bachelors degree in English!

I was published the other day
I was so happy
My friends were like, "No way!"
Because my poem was crappy

I thought it was alright
And the site said it was amazing
My friends say I can't write
But they don't have my skills in word phrasing

So now I write poems everyday
It comes naturally
I constantly use word play
Because I'm so talented, lyrically

My friends are just jealous
They don't understand
I've got writers' workshop in the palm of my hand

I'm so good, I changed the rhyme scheme
In the middle of a poem
It's so extreme
And I can't find a rhyme for "poem"
So I'll just use a half rhyme, like omen

Hi, Eric. I read this poem when it was first on the blog and had to come find it again, because it was just so great.

spectacular=vernacular (love it)

So I don't even know if you'll get to read this comment since it's been so long, but my daughter Abby says she likes it, too.
