Rats, Bry. I told Alicia that if you would do it, I would do it. I was really betting that you wouldn't do it. Sheesh.

Why do you read some books and cannot make yourself sit down to others? I am Russian, and War and Peace is one of my favourites. As soon as they start showing the famous Bondarchuk's film on TV I grab the book and race with the film.
If you have a different feeling, yo may be excused. Even I excuse myself for not having ever finished Anna Karenina. What may be there to read after she commits adultery, has regrets, loses her relations to her husband and son in the first out of 4 books?
BTW Holliwood Anna is very much different from the original.
Cheers

I read it already, but I'm down to read it again I guess.
You say we have until February?

Of '08 or '09. Both will be hard to swing.

Jeffrey,

Sorry, I wasn't clear. We're going to start reading War and Peace on February 1. Then it's a race to see who finishes first. Of course, you should never race through great literature. So maybe "race" is the wrong word. Anyway, we're just going to try to read the thing. You're welcome to join us. We'll be blogging about the experience for as long as it takes.
Bry
