Here are a few handy expressions you may want to use today:

If you want to agree with someone: Aye!

In other words: Yes. 

If you want to say hello to your buddy: Ahoy matey!

In other words: Yo!

If you are trying to get the attention of a group of people: Avast ye!

In other words: Listen up!

If you are trying to get someone to do something immediately: All hands on deck. 

In other words: Hop to it!

If something surprises you or takes your breath away: Shiver me timbers!

In other words: No way!

If you are happy: Arr, this is life Gar!

In other words: This rocks!

If you want to describe someone who is a scoundrel or rascal:
He’s a ne’er-do-well.

   In other words: He’s a troublemaker.

If you are getting ready to leave a place: Anchor!

In other words: Let’s get out of here.

If you want to take a nap or a short rest: Let’s take a caulk.
