Welcome to Current Health 1!
Dear Teachers,
The March issue of Current Health 1 takes a look at young people who make a difference by “Giving Back.” Our cover story profiles four young people who volunteered in different ways, from traveling cross-country to promote bone marrow donation, to volunteering at a zoo and helping animals. These kids show that you’re never too young to make a difference!
Other stories in the issue look at the truth about lying, ways to overcome shyness, offer tips for making smart food choices, show how to “Tame Your Temper,” and share what young people want to know about height and the growing “up” process.
With spring on the horizon, your students might be thinking about ways to get outside and get moving. Send them to our Get Up and Go exercise program! The back page of the March issue offers just one exercise to help kids run faster and jump farther. The complete March workout, as well as the rest of the program, is online at http://weeklyreader.com/teens/get_up_go/index.asp/.

Have a healthy month!
