Food Fright

Have students research the ways that struggling families in your community can get help buying food. This could include help from the government, food pantries, church, charities, universities, stores, or other sources. Ask students what they can personally do to help. Inspire them to start a school food drive or advertising campaign that would encourage others to help those less fortunate than themselves. The Connecticut Food Bank offers online tips for organizing a food drive.
