Here Comes the Wind!

The wind is blowing all around
Reaching high and low.

The wind is blowing very hard
Everybody BLOW!

The wind is blowing in the trees.
Everybody SWAY!

The wind is blowing on the ground
So, let’s all roll away!
  - Sharon Siegelman

The Very Friendly Dentist (sung to the tune of The Itsy Bitsy Spider

My very friendly dentist said, “Open up, real wide.”
I opened up my mouth and he looked deep in side.
He saw my healthy teeth ‘cause I brush them every day.
The very friendly dentist told me, “Your teeth are A-OK!”
  - Cynthia Cappetta

1st President

Oh do you know that Washington,
George Washington, George Washington,
Oh do you know that Washington,
Was our first president?
  - Marie E. Cecchini

What Teeth Like

Teeth like milk,
Fruits and such,
Teeth like candy
Not so much.

Teeth like dentists,
Being brushed,
Happy teeth say
That it’s a must.
  - Marie E. Cecchini

The Shape of Things

Some things are crooked,
Some things are straight.
Some things are round,
or square.
Some things are pointed.
Some things are flat
But there’s NO shape
to the air!
  - Vivian Gouled

Brushing

Up and down and round and round,
Brush your teeth to keep them sound.
To keep them clean and sparkling white,
Brush them morning, noon and night.
  - Marie E. Cecchini

Proud February

February is a short month,
But it speaks out tall and loud.
“I have Washington and Lincoln
And I’m very, very, proud!”

     - Wanda Haan

   Chinese New Year

It’s time for Chinese New Year

   Under the first new moon

   Fifteen days of celebration

   Will begin quite soon

The homes are cleaned and ready

   There’s special food to make

For this is a time to visit kin

   With tasty treats to take

   Children receive red envelopes

   From relatives who are kind

Inside there’s money for good luck

That the little ones will find

On the last day of celebration

   You’ll see a beautiful sight

   When the Lantern Festival begins

To light up the dark night

               - Sheila Forsyth
