Around the World

There are girls and boys
Around the world
In countries near and far
And though they’re different in many ways
They’re much the way we are.

They eat and laugh
And run and play
And sleep when daytime ends
And so wherever they may be
I like to feel we’re friends.

My dog is a hero,

I Am the Wind

I am the wind
And I can go
Anywhere I please
Around the corner,
Or the world,
Or high up in the tree.

I can blow hard.
I can blow soft.
And everywhere I go,
I am the wind.
You can’t see me,
But you can feel me blow.

I Talk to the Animals

I talk to the animals
That live on the farm,
And they all answer me
From the pond and the barn.

I say to the duck,
“Will you please swim back?”
She shouts back at me
With a quack, quack, quack.

To the old horse,
“Hello!” I say.
He answers back to me
With a neigh, neigh, neigh.

I see a woolly sheep,
And I giggle, ha! Ha!
She giggles back at me
With a baa, baa, baa.

I see a feathered hen,
Oh! I am in luck!
The hen speaks to me
With a cluck, cluck, cluck.

I talk to the animals
That live on the farm,
And they all answer me
From the pond and the barn.

Robin

She flies about
Collecting things
Some twigs, some leaves
And pretty strings.
She builds her nest
With loving care
