Fire! If there’s a fire, What should you do? Get out of the house If it’s safe for you to. Go to your meeting spot, Call 911. Wait with your family Until the fire’s all gone. -Sheila Forsyth Trying I’m trying to be very brave In all I say and do, But when I hear the fire bell ring, I shiver through and through. -Pauline C. Peck I Want To Vote I want to vote When I grow up, To let my country know— The person that I think is best To help our country grow. -Virginia H. Niles Fall Leaves are falling gently down, Orange, yellow, red, and brown. Whirling, twirling, round and round, Quietly they touch the ground. -Marie E. Cecchini Observation Look around in fall And what do you see? Squirrels hiding nuts As they scamper up a tree. Birds flying south, Children walking to school, Getting ready for winter As the air turns cool. -Marie E. Cecchini Pumpkin Poem Pumpkins grow on a long, long vine. I pick the biggest one as mine. I roll it home, Then cut out eyes, While mom bakes us a pumpkin pie. -Marie E. Cecchini Pumpkin Patch Walk through the pumpkin patch To see what you can find. Small, medium, or large, Pick up your favorite kind. Carry your pumpkin home And carve it carefully Into a jack-o-lantern For the neighborhood to see. -Carol Quinn
