Welcome to Current Health 1!

Dear Educators,

Current Health 1's January issue features a topic near and dear to many teens' hearts: online friendships. We spoke to teens across the country to find out the truth about how technology affects friendships. What we learned was suprising. Connecting with friends through instant messaging, texting, and sites such as MySpace might have benefits! We're interested to hear what your students think about the article. E-mail us and let us know! You might see your comments in a future issue.

Here's another topic of discussion to share with students: New year's resolutions! What will your class do this year to be healthier? They might find some great ideas in this month's issue, such as how to keep warm this winter, how to improve their mood through what they eat, and how to make more time for themselves. Share your students' resolutions with us, we'd love to hear!

See you next month!
