New York Giants football running back Tiki Barber holds the Giants's record for rushing yards. He's played for the Giants since 1997, when he was a second-round draft pick. Earlier this year, Tiki, 31, announced that he's retiring from the sport at the end of the post season. You might still get to see Tiki on TV though. Some news reports say that he is in negotiations with major news networks for a broadcasting job that would allow him to cover both sports and news. However, Tiki's not talking about his future plans until the postseason is over.

- Tiki Barber was born on April 7, 1975, in Roanoke, Virginia. He played football at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke. He was also on the track team and lettered three times!
- Tiki has an identical twin brother, Ronde Barber, who plays football for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- Both Tiki and Ronde graduated from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce. They also played together on football teams in high school and college.
- Tiki and his Ronde are also the authors of three children's books: By My Brother's Side, Game Day, and Teammates.
- Tiki married Ginny Cha on May 15, 1999. They have two sons.
- Tiki's real name is Atiim Kiambu Barber. "Atiim Kiambu" means "fiery-tempered king" in Swahili. Tiki's mom gave him that name after baby Tiki screamed like crazy shortly after birth. (She nicknamed him Tiki, taking the "Ti" from the first part of his name and the "ki" from the second part).
- Off the field, Tiki is widely involved in charitable organizations, including the Children's Miracle Network, Ronald McDonald House, and the Fresh Air Fund.
